As a Senior Contract Manager in our Grid Integration Business line, you will work on impactful projects that power homes, schools, hospitals, and factories. How You'll Make an Impact

  • Identify legal issues in Grid Integration projects and develop effective strategies.

  • Support tender preparation, risk identification, and contract negotiations.

  • Protect and enforce company policies and interests in negotiations.

  • Collaborate with global legal teams and interdisciplinary project teams.

  • Promote dispute avoidance and support project management in claims.

  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • Promote ethical conduct and integrity in all activities.

  • Present legal risks in internal risk reviews and management processes.


Your Background

  • Juris Doctorate degree and admission to the bar in a U.S. jurisdiction.

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in corporate or law firm settings, focusing on grid systems or major utilities projects.

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

  • Knowledge of governmental and commercial regulations and practices.

  • Experience with project-financed and utility-scale EPC agreements.

  • Excellent communication, contract drafting, and negotiation skills.

  • Trusted business partner and team player with the ability to work under pressure.

  • Ability/willingness to travel as needed.

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
