Daimler Truck Financial Services USA LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Sr. Application Architect to own the Contract Funding application vision, roadmap, and delivery. You will partner with business and IT teams to translate needs into implementable solutions and contribute to our digital transformation.

The role involves hands-on development, setting technical direction, and leading improvements across processes, with a hybrid schedule (in-office 4 days/week, 1 day remote).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on development with Java 8+, J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, JDBC, Hibernate, REST/SOAP, and Tomcat.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React), HTML5/CSS3, XML.
• Strong background in designing Web Services, APIs, and system interfaces.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins) and deployment automation.
• Agile/Scrum experience with Jira and DevOps practices.
• Experience with branching strategies and deployments via Jenkins or similar pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the product vision, roadmap, and execution for the Contract Funding application.
• Lead enhancements to modernize the contract funding process.
• Partner with business and technical teams to translate needs into requirements and solutions.
• Participate in hands-on development including coding, design, updates, and deployment.
• Build or update application components based on detailed requirements.
• Analyze, test, debug, and maintain code with good documentation.
• Define system scope and technical objectives aligned to user needs and business goals.
• Improve processes, resolve operational challenges, and introduce new functionality.
• Serve as SME for the Contract Funding system and ensure regulatory/compliance alignment.
• Lead continuous improvement while coordinating with IT, Finance, Operations, Compliance, Sales, and Credit.
