Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Counsel with a contract law specialization to join the team in Welkom. The role requires managing the full lifecycle of contracts and providing expert guidance on terms, risk, and alignment with business objectives.

The successful candidate will work with procurement, sales, and operations to support efficient transactions and improve contracting frameworks within a key industry player in the Free State.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
• Strong expertise in contract law, including clauses, risk allocation, and remedies.
• Experience in a corporate legal department or strong commercial practice.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts (supply, services, NDAs).
• Advise on obligations, risks, and compliance for business units.
• Develop standardized contract templates and playbooks to streamline processes.
