Job summary

Withum’s Risk Advisory practice is growing as we seek a Contract Compliance Senior Consultant to perform royalty audits, franchise compliance audits, revenue participation audits, lease review, vendor audits and related contract projects. Hybrid role with offices in New York, Whippany, East Brunswick, Red Bank, Princeton, or Philadelphia.

The ideal candidate has a CPA or is pursuing CPA/CFE, 3+ years in a public accounting firm, strong client service skills and solid Excel/data analytics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• Licensed CPA or working toward CPA/CFE; certifications considered.
• 3+ years of experience at a public accounting firm or in contract compliance engagements.
• Strong client service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to interpret contracts.
• Experience evaluating and interpreting contractual obligations; knowledge of ICFR, Revenue, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Financial Close, etc.

Responsibilities

• Assist audit teams with planning and testing of franchisees’ and licensees’ compliance and related contractual obligations.
• Analyze franchisees’ and licensees’ financial records to determine reportable income and other obligations.
• Conduct independent research on franchisees, owners, and related parties within contractual relationships.
• Manage project processes and ensure timely completion; communicate with clients for cooperation.
• Prepare work papers summarizing evidentiary data, conclusions, and findings for clients.
• Document franchisees’ and licensees’ responses and verify compliance with contract obligations.
• Prepare written reports with explanations of processes, responses, and recalculation of fees due.
