Job summary

Withum is seeking a Contract Compliance Senior Consultant for its Risk Advisory practice. The role focuses on royalty audits, franchise compliance audits, revenue participation audits, lease reviews, vendor audits, and related contract-based projects.

The Senior Consultant can be based in New York, Whippany NJ, East Brunswick NJ, Red Bank NJ, Princeton NJ, or Philadelphia PA. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA, CPA/CFE certification in progress, or equivalent certifications.
• 3+ years in public accounting or contract compliance engagements.
• Effective client service and written/verbal communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience evaluating contractual obligations.
• Strong Excel and data analytics software skills.
• Knowledge of ICFR, Revenue, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Financial Close, etc.
• Team-oriented with collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist audit teams with planning and testing franchisees' compliance and related obligations.
• Analyze franchisees' and licensees' financial records for reportable income and obligations.
• Research franchisees and related parties in relation to contractual relationships.
• Manage project processes and communicate with clients to ensure cooperation and timeliness.
• Prepare work papers summarizing data, conclusions, and findings for clients.
• Document franchisees' responses and verify compliance with contract obligations.
• Prepare written reports detailing processes, responses, and fee recalculations.
