Job summary

Withum's Risk Advisory team is seeking a Contract Compliance Senior Consultant to perform royalty audits, franchise compliance audits, revenue participation audits, lease reviews, and vendor contract reviews. The role is hybrid (3 days in the office) with New York, NY; Whippany, NJ; East Brunswick, NJ; Red Bank, NJ; Princeton, NJ; or Philadelphia, PA offices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
CPA or working toward CPA/CFE certification.
3+ years of experience in public accounting or contract compliance engagements.
Strong client service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience evaluating, analyzing and interpreting contractual obligations.
Proficient with Excel and data analytics tools.

Responsibilities

Assist audit teams with planning and testing franchisees' and licensees' compliance.
Analyze financial records to determine reportable income and obligations.
Perform independent research on franchisees and related parties to contractual relationships.
Manage project process and ensure timely completion with client communication.
Prepare work papers summarizing evidentiary data and conclusions.
Document franchisees' responses and verify contract obligations.
Prepare written reports with explanations and fee recalculations.
