Job summary

PARR is seeking a Senior Contract Billing Coordinator at our Tacoma lumber location to manage Single Line Billing for PO-paid accounts and ensure timely, accurate reconciliation with customer agreements.

You will collaborate with Sales, Account Management, CSR, and AMT teams, maintain billing schedules, track dates, and prepare monthly profitability recaps while delivering Legendary Service Through Teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in the building material industry preferred.
  • Type 40+ WPM.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong customer service orientation and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Set up internal and external SLB jobs for all accounts.
  • Track billing dates and reconcile billed amounts to PO amounts.
  • Submit any true-up amounts to the AMT group.
  • Coordinate with CSR, Sales Coordinators, and AMT on job setup and delivery dates.
  • Produce quarterly profitability and sales recaps for RSM and Director.
  • Support process improvements and staff training for Contract Billing Coordinators.

Our customers and community members know that they can rely on us for Legendary Service and quality products.Pay: $27.95 - $32.65The Senior Contract Billing Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the Single Line Billing (SLB) function for customers who pay by PO and ensuring that the billing is performed timely and properly reconciled to the agreed upon price with the customer.This person is responsible for delivering a high level of customer service and sense of urgency to the Sales Team, Account Management Team, and all employees and contractors that they may encounter.The optimal Contract Billing Coordinator is someone with above-average organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to complete tasks accurately with minimal supervision. Initially this individual must be adaptable and forward thinking in their approach to the necessities of the position. They must be willing to try new ideas and have a strong desire to work together with both sales and the AMT group, all while continually providing Legendary Service Through Teamwork.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSetting up the internal and external jobs for all Single Line Billing accountsEnsuring that all Billing Sheets submitted are properly completedTracking billing datesReconciling the amount billed on the internal account as compared to the PO amount for the jobSubmitting any true-up amount required to the AMT groupFacilitates the billing to the external customer accountWork with CSR and Sales Coordinators on job set up, roof load delivery dates, and variances to POsTracks all closed Contract Billed jobs for the RSM and Director to provide a monthly recap of profitability and salesUtilizes ERP, Outlook, and Excel as a requirement of the positionAssists the AMT team as required on any variance or reconciliation requiredWorks directly with Contractor Sales Reps, Sales Coordinators, AMT and regularly with Regional Sales Managers, Directors, and all other departments as neededFacilitating training and development of the Contract Billing CoordinatorsWork with Sales Managers and teams on process improvementsProcess quarterly reporting of customer rebatesFacilitate the monthly Supplier Support Agreement (SSA) programSupport Sales Managers with relevant administrative tasksPerform other related duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree preferredExperience in the building material industry preferredProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookMust be able to type 40+ WPMMathematically proficientAbility to speak, write, and read English requiredMust be able to operate personal computer, telephone, photocopier, fax machine, scanner, and any other office equipment necessary for the jobKnowledge of retail and contractor sales principles, practices and protocolsKnowledge of dimension lumber, panel products and other building materialsInterpersonal SkillsAbility to work cordially, professionally, diplomatically and with a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment, displaying sound judgment in dealing with sensitive business matters with internal and external customers of all typesAbility and willingness to change processes, tools and/or procedures in an effort to improve the workplace and outcomes for our customersAbility to superbly communicate with all levels of management and employees and speak effectively in front of groups – communication can include, but is not limited to: in-person verbal and non-verbal, written, email, telephone, and public speaking to medium size groupsStrong focus, planning, organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage changing priorities, handle multiple projects, do what is necessary to meet deadlines and adapt to a changing business environmentAbility to function independently and as part of a team with a positive attitude, patience, a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellenceThe ability to think and respond quickly to constantly changing circumstancesWorking ConditionsThis position sits at a lumber location.Physical RequirementsAbility to work indoors in a normal office environment for an entire dayAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to grasp, talk, hear, and operate a computer and keyboard.Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feetWe know that without great people, we can't be a great company.
