Job summary

Dexian Senior Contract Analyst position supporting the Gas Trading Contract Department for natural gas trading operations. You will independently manage contract negotiations, draft and negotiate transportation, storage, confidentiality, amendments, and assignments related to trading activities.

You will coordinate with Legal, Credit, Compliance, Tax, and Commercial teams, manage the negotiation lifecycle, and ensure accurate contract records and data in contract management systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5+ years experience in contract negotiation, energy trading, or comparable commercial fields.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating standard agreements for natural gas trades.
• Knowledge of natural gas trading and transportation agreements.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate structured transaction confirmations for natural gas trades.
• Coordinate reviews with Legal, Credit, Compliance, Tax, Commercial, and other internal stakeholders.
• Manage the contract negotiation process from request through execution and documentation.
• Maintain and review contracts and counterparty information in contract management systems.
• Serve as a resource for contractual questions from internal teams.
• Track active negotiations, expirations, requirements, and documentation status.
• Support contract reporting, data quality, procedures, and continuous improvement efforts.

Position Summary

The Senior Contract Analyst will provide experienced temporary support to the organization's Gas Trading Contract Department, independently managing contract negotiations and related activities that support natural gas trading operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently draft, review, edit, and negotiate standard and non-standard agreements such as transportation, storage, confidentiality, amendments, and assignments related to trading activities.
• Draft and negotiate structured transaction confirmations for natural gas trades.
• Identify issues within contractual provisions, review non-standard clauses, and coordinate necessary reviews and approvals with Legal, Credit, Compliance, Tax, Commercial, and other internal stakeholders.
• Manage the entire contract negotiation process from initial request through to approval, execution, system entry, and final documentation.
• Maintain and review contracts and counterparty information using the company's contract management systems.
• Serve as a resource for contractual questions from internal teams.
• Track active negotiations, contract expirations, requirements, and documentation status.
• Support contract reporting, data quality initiatives, process procedures, and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in contract negotiation, energy trading, or comparable commercial fields.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating standard agreements related to natural gas trades.
• Knowledge of natural gas trading and transportation agreements.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple negotiations in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with drafting and negotiating standard industry agreements.
• Familiarity with structured transaction confirmations.
• Experience with contract management systems such as Horizon or similar platforms.
