You will independently draft, review, and negotiate CDAs/NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, and site agreements, organize contract files, and collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial Operations, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2–4 years in contract administration.
  • Experience in pharma/biotech contracts and regulatory concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, redline, and negotiate commercial and research agreements, including CDAs/NDAs, MSAs, consulting agreements, SOWs, site and supply agreements.
  • Identify and elevate legal and regulatory risks; provide recommended language and risk mitigation.
  • Organize, maintain, and manage contract files with version control and timely execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial Operations, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, Supply Chain, and HR to support contract needs.
  • Develop and maintain standard contract templates, clause libraries, and playbooks reflecting current requirements.

Job description

Reporting into the General Counsel, the Senior Contract Administrator plays a critical role in managing the full lifecycle of commercial and research-related agreements for the organization. The Senior Contract Administrator will independently draft, review, negotiate, and administer a broad portfolio of biotechnology contracts while ensuring compliance with internal company policies. The individual must have strong contract negotiation skills and the ability to manage wide variety of agreements with precision and professionalism. The Senior Contract Manager will need to demonstrate the initiative and judgment to work autonomously on routine matters, escalating complex legal and business risks to Legal Department attorneys as appropriate.

Responsibilities Include
  • Review, draft, redline, and negotiate commercial and research agreements, including Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs/NDAs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), consulting agreements, Statements of Work (SOWs), clinical trial site agreements and supply agreements.
  • Identify and elevate legal, business, and regulatory risks to Legal Department attorneys, providing recommended contract language and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Organize, maintain, and manage contract files ensuring accurate recordkeeping, version control, and timely execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial Operations, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, Supply Chain and Human Resources teams to support contract needs across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain standard contract templates, clause libraries, and playbooks to reflect current legal and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 2-4 years prior experience as a contract specialist, contract administrator, corporate paralegal, or similar role, preferably within a publicly traded company, start-up, or law firm.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working with contracts in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry, whether gained from an industry role, a Contract Research Organization (CRO), or an academic/university research setting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage various contracts simultaneously and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex contractual and regulatory concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in legal documents and contract databases.
  • Proactive and able to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and legal software applications.
