Job summary

Childhelp seeks a Senior Content Marketing & Communications Manager to lead strategic content across the website, email, blog, and executive communications. Translate complex, sensitive topics into clear, actionable messages for donors, partners, educators, and policymakers.

You will own an integrated editorial calendar, guide SEO-driven storytelling, ghostwrite for the COO and leaders, and collaborate with a PR agency to strengthen Childhelp's national voice and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, public relations, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in content marketing, communications, journalism, editorial strategy, or a related field.
• Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, research, and interviewing skills.
• Experience ghostwriting for executives, organizational leaders, or subject-matter experts.
• A strong portfolio showing ability to write across formats, including executive thought leadership, op-eds, blogs, email communications, and website copy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage an integrated editorial calendar spanning email, blog, website, executive thought leadership, PR, fundraising campaigns, and other priorities.
• Identify compelling stories and translate complex program information into clear content.
• Translate sensitive topics into accessible, audience-appropriate content.
• Maintain a consistent organizational voice across donors, partners, parents, educators, policymakers, media, and the public.
• Ghostwrite for executives and collaborate with PR to elevate Childhelp’s national voice.
• Lead SEO-informed content strategy and optimize blog content.
• Own routine website content updates and optimize landing pages and program pages.
• Lead the planning, writing, and distribution of regular newsletters.
