Job summary

Fearless is seeking a Senior Content Strategist within our Experience & Design practice. You will reimagine a large content ecosystem, shaping a user-centered Drupal experience for a public-sector client, combining content strategy, IA, UX research, and UX writing in a fast Agile engagement.

The role emphasizes governance, stakeholder collaboration, and ensuring the client can maintain the site independently after migration to a modern, accessible platform. This is a fully remote position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in content strategy, information architecture, UX research, and content governance.
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field, or three additional years of equivalent related experience.
• Proven experience migrating complex, legacy enterprise sites such as SharePoint to modern CMS platforms.
• Proficiency in designing sitemaps, taxonomies, and navigation structures for large, complex websites.
• Hands-on background in planning and conducting evaluative UX research, including card sorting, tree testing, and usability testing.
• Demonstrated ability applying UX writing and plain language to simplify content with accessibility in mind.
• Experience creating content governance documentation, workflows, and ownership models.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; available during core business hours.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. and ability to clear a background check.

Responsibilities

• Reimagine a large, complex content ecosystem and translate technical info into plain-language web content.
• Architect an intuitive Drupal experience with optimized site structure and taxonomies.
• Lead content audits with SMEs to determine retention, consolidation or retirement.
• Develop baseline information architecture and a comprehensive sitemap and taxonomy.
• Map URLs to new locations to preserve search visibility and document migration sitemap.
• Plan and conduct evaluative UX research (card sorting, tree testing, usability testing).
• Develop page mock-ups using design system components.
• Lead UX writing and content design with accessibility in mind.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and align on structure and content decisions.
• Create governance documentation covering decisions and workflows.
• Provide guidance to client content managers for long-term maintenance.
• Collaborate with PM, designers, and engineers to stay aligned during delivery.
