Job summary

The Walt Disney Studios Content Security organization is seeking a Staff Content Security Engineer to join our in-house team in Glendale, CA. The role requires close collaboration with the Directors and production teams to secure creative content throughout production lifecycles.

You will lead security assessments, guide secure workflows for remote editing and cloud post-production, and mentor engineers across levels.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cybersecurity, software engineering, or infra roles with design/assessment experience
• Ability to drive security improvements across teams and disciplines
• Translate threat models and risk into actionable architectural input
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expertise in design and security integration of complex systems across platforms and cloud-native tools
• Serve as technical partner for high-risk assessments across AppSec, CloudSec, and media infrastructure
• Advocate secure workflows enabling remote editing, cloud post-production, and real-time asset delivery
• Drive testing for custom/vendor tooling, APIs, and third-party integrations
• Define reusable security patterns, controls, and baselines across assessments and vendors
• Mentor engineers to improve security acumen and delivery
• Contribute to threat modeling and security framework development for Studio-wide initiatives
• Stay ahead of new technologies and cloud security trends in creative pipelines
• Research AI technology and security implications
