Collaboration with editors, strategists and producers ensures the right creative approach for each assignment in Houston.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Content Creators, Editorial, reviewing their work and developing their craft.
• Review and quality-check the team's newsletter, email, website and editorial output for clarity, brand consistency and editorial standards before it moves to publish.
• Create content for newsletters, email communications, website updates and broader editorial storytelling yourself.
• Concept and design visual assets for web, email and editorial communications, working within established brand systems.
• Serve as the point of escalation for creative and editorial decisions within the pod.
• Support video content — from concept and scripting to basic capture and editing — and coach team members on the same.
• Partner with the Content Team Lead, Content Editors, Communications Advisors and Integrated Producers to determine the most effective creative approach for each assignment.
• Manage your own mix of hands‑on assignments and quick‑turn requests while maintaining strong editorial quality and attention to detail.

The Senior Content Creator, Editorial is a hands‑on creative lead who both produces great editorial content and raises the bar for the team producing it. This role combines strong writing and editorial skills with visual design and video capabilities to bring the company's newsletters, email communications and website content to life —

while leading a team of Content Creators, Editorial, reviewing their work and developing their craft. Briefs are staffed and assigned by the pod's Resource Coordinator; this role owns the creative and editorial quality of the work once it lands with the team.

We're looking for someone with 3–6 years of experience at an advertising agency or corporate in‑house creative studio, with a strong personal track record of hands‑on writing, editing and design work and at least some experience guiding or mentoring other creators. This is a player‑coach role: equal parts maker and team lead, comfortable taking an assignment from brief through polished execution while also elevating the work of the creators around them.

WHAT MAKES YOU QUALIFIED

• 3–6 years of hands‑on experience across content creation, writing, editing, design or a related creative discipline, at an advertising agency or corporate in‑house creative studio
• Experience leading, mentoring or informally guiding other creators, with the ability to give direct feedback that improves the work
• A portfolio of editorial, email or web content — and ideally video — you conceived and created independently, alongside examples of work you've led or shaped as part of a team
• Strong visual design skills, including typography and layout, with the ability to work within established brand systems and hold others to the same standard
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva and/or comparable design and content creation platforms
• Experience creating content on Sitecore, Staffbase and/or Marketo is a plus
• Photography, motion and/or lightweight video capture and editing skills are a plus
• Ability to take an assignment from brief or source material through polished creative execution with limited handoffs
• Collaborative, adaptable and comfortable both owning work independently and leading as part of an integrated team
