Job summary

Origin Bank is seeking a senior consumer lending underwriter to manage the centralized underwriting process and approve loans up to $3,000,000. You will supervise underwriter associates, coordinate loan packages, and ensure rigorous compliance with lending policies.

You will lead efforts to improve efficiency, provide training, and deliver accurate reporting for Compliance, Audit and Examiners while maintaining exceptional customer service and profitability for the bank.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; eight to ten years credit experience preferred.
• Experience in consumer lending and underwriting in banking.
• Strong knowledge of lending policies and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee centralized consumer lending and approve loans up to $3,000,000.
• Coordinate loan documents and processing with Centralized Loan Processing.
• Develop and implement policies to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Supervise consumer underwriter staff and ensure training.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Lending and regulatory requirements.
