As a Senior SEO Consultant at Merkle|Cardinal Path, you will be delivering SEO strategies and recommendations to a world class clientele across multiple industries and verticals.
This is a fast-paced, client facing role requiring advanced SEO knowledge and high level of comfort with an ever-changing search landscape.
This position will be right for you if you can demonstrate a solid knowledge of technical SEO as well as the ability to easily absorb and learn new concepts.
Job Description
Lead and execute SEO initiatives, including client audits, ongoing performance monitoring, and strategic project implementation.
Manage a portfolio of clients, applying best practices in SEO execution, client communication, and project management.
Conduct in-depth keyword research and search intent modeling to inform content strategy and site optimization.
Communicate complex technical SEO concepts clearly and collaborate with client teams to ensure successful implementation of recommendations.
Contribute to the growth of an innovative, industry-leading SEO team by refining internal processes, tools, and deliverables.
Stay current on SEO trends, algorithm updates, and emerging technologies; evaluate and recommend tools that improve team efficiency and client results.
Collaborate with Digital Intelligence, Digital Transformation, and Account Management teams to uncover cross-functional opportunities for client growth.
Share knowledge and promote thought leadership through blog posts, internal training sessions, webinars, and industry events.
Mentor and support the development of new team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), with a proven track record of success.
Agency or consultancy experience working with multiple clients is strongly preferred.
Deep technical SEO expertise, including demonstrated experience with Core Web Vitals and advanced optimization techniques.
Up-to-date knowledge of SEO trends, algorithm updates, and key players shaping the search landscape.
Experience leading or supporting complex site migrations from an SEO perspective.
Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver presentations and custom strategy decks.
Proficiency in web analytics tools such as Google Analytics (GA4) and/or Adobe Analytics.
Advanced knowledge of Google Search Console and its use in diagnosing and improving site performance.
Basic coding knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; hands-on experience is a plus.
Experience across a wide range of SEO disciplines, including competitive analysis, international SEO, local SEO, semantic search, AI-integrated search, and search/social optimization.

The annual salary range for this position is $70K-$85K. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
