Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead large, multi-workstream technology transformations in Los Angeles and/or Orange County. This role requires onsite work with client teams up to five days per week, guiding complex programs from strategy to delivery.

You will partner with senior client leaders to define success metrics, governance, and scalable delivery approaches, while managing cross-functional teams across business, product, and technology landscapes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of consulting experience leading technology projects and business transformation initiatives.
• Advanced knowledge of Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery.
• Strong understanding of AI concepts and related initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of large, multi-workstream initiatives across domains (data, cloud, AI).
• Translate ambiguous challenges into delivery strategies, operating models, and plans.
• Manage cross-functional teams including business, product, technology, and vendors.
• Oversee multiple complex projects with enterprise-wide scope.

This role is not eligible for 100% remote work. Employees must live within a commutable distance of the Los Angeles and Orange County Metropolitan Area. Employees must be willing to be onsite at the client in Los Angeles/Orange County and/or Slalom Los Angeles/Orange County office up to 5 days a week.

What You'll Do

• Lead the planning and execution of large complex, multi-workstream initiatives across different domains – i.e. modernization initiatives (data, cloud, AI).
• Translate ambiguous, high-impact challenges into structured delivery strategies, operating models, and execution plans.
• Manage cross-functional teams including business, product, technology, operations, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
• Lead multiple complex concurrent projects with multiple workstreams, portfolios, or enterprise-wide transformation programs.
• Partner with senior client leaders to define success metrics, decision frameworks, and scalable ways of working.
• Manage interdependencies, risks, and constraints while driving prioritization, trade-offs, and delivery decisions.
• Manage project financials including forecasting, budgeting, and resource planning.
• Establish and scale governance, processes, and delivery standards to enable consistent, high-quality outcomes.
• Apply and scale delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid) based on client context and organizational maturity.
• Leverage delivery tools and AI-enabled capabilities (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Planner, Smartsheet) to support planning, backlog management, reporting, and decision-making.
• Mentor teams, influence stakeholders, and drive organizational alignment.

What You'll Bring

• 8+ years of consulting experience leading technology projects and business transformation initiatives in roles such as Senior Project Manager, Program Manager, Senior Business Analyst, or Delivery Lead.
• Advanced knowledge of Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Strong understanding of AI concepts and hands‑on experience supporting initiatives involving AI‑enabled solutions, intelligent automation, machine learning, advanced analytics, or digital transformation platforms.
• Deep understanding of the full project and software development lifecycle, from strategy and business case development through implementation and operational transition.
• Solid technical foundation with familiarity across enterprise applications, software development practices, cloud technologies, integrations, and IT infrastructure.
• Technical fluency with modern software engineering practices, including familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT/Copilot), Visual Studio Code, GitHub, source control workflows, and CI/CD concepts.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; certifications such as CSM, PMP, CBAP, scaled agile preferred.

For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges:

The targeted base salary pay range for Senior Consultant in Orange County or Los Angeles is $110,000 to $153,000.

In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
