Segal is seeking a Senior Consultant, Insurance Broker to join its growing insurance brokerage practice. You will manage client accounts, develop relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors, and provide a full scope of professional insurance broker services while contributing to revenue growth.

Ideal candidates have 9+ years in insurance, advanced coverage knowledge, and the ability to secure licenses within 60 days.

Qualifications

• 9+ years relevant experience within insurance industry
• Advanced knowledge of Cyber Liability, Fiduciary Liability, EPLI, D&O, E&O, ERISA Fidelity Bonds
• Licensed insurance professional or ability to secure license within 60 days
• Demonstrated experience providing strategic insurance solutions and sales opportunities
• RPLU, CPCU designations valued; AMS360 familiarity preferred
• Understanding of Taft-Hartley, Public Sector and Corporate benefit plans and differences

We are seeking a Senior Consultant, Insurance Broker to join our growing insurance brokerage practice within a privately-owned, growth-oriented professional services firm. The Senior Consultant will step immediately into a client service role that develops and builds upon established relationships with clients, Client Relationship Managers, carriers, brokerage staff and client vendors, in securing the appropriate underwriting information and coverage levels. The Senior Consultant will manage client accounts including setting priorities and providing a full scope of professional insurance broker services and contribute to the revenue generating activities of the Practice.

In This Role, You Will

• Manage book of client business, oversee and negotiate insurance coverage terms, review quote letters, schedules of insurance, executive insurance summaries, and make recommendations to clients
• Secure carrier quotations including negotiating with underwriters
• Ensure high-quality standards including overseeing the accuracy of quotes, binders, certificates, policies, audits, endorsements and other related items
• Ensure accurate identification of potential loss exposures, recommend appropriate coverages and execute appropriate binding and billing/financing processes
• Review and execute summaries of insurance, insurance schedules and proposals on a timely basis
• Generate quote memos including analyzing coverages, evaluate recommendations and carrier comparisons and manage account renewals, identify and recommend account rounding and cross-sell opportunities
• Coordinate the review, assembly and response of RFIs or RFPs, their accuracy and thoroughness as well as their submittal in a timely manner

So, What Does it Take?

• 9+ years relevant experience within insurance industry and an undergraduate degree
• Advanced knowledge of Cyber Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Employment Practice Liability Insurance (EPLI), Directors & Officers, Professional E&O, and ERISA Fidelity Bonds
• Licensed insurance professional or ability to secure license within 60 days
• Demonstrated experience utilizing technical acumen to develop strategic solutions and sales opportunities
• RPLU, CPCU designations highly valued and Familiarity with AMS360 is highly preferred
• Understanding of the historical, legal, political, and administrative differences between Taft-Hartley, Public Sector and Corporate benefit plans and how their coverage needs differ would be a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communicator and a proactive team player with strong proofreading and editing skills and a passion for detail
• Ability to multi-task while simultaneously managing multiple deadlines with changing priorities
• Demonstrated experience applying generative AI to improve workflows and supporting consulting activities. Proficiency with Microsoft Copilot is preferred
