Job summary

Veriipro in Plano, Texas seeks an experienced Senior Mainframe System Programmer / Infrastructure Consultant to lead z/OS system programming, VTAM, software installation, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance of critical mainframe environments.

You will install and upgrade IBM and Broadcom products, perform SMPE and non-SMPE ISV installations, automate with z/OSMF workflows, tune storage and performance, and collaborate with infra and app teams to ensure stable operations.

Qualifications

• Expertise in z/OS system programming and configuration.
• Strong experience with SMPE/Non-SMPE ISV installations.
• Proven VTAM and enterprise mainframe infrastructure experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform standardz/OS system programming activities, including configuration, installation, maintenance, and vendor software implementation.
• ExecuteSMPE and non-SMPE installationsof ISV products.
• Install, configure, maintain, and upgradeIBM and Broadcom software products.
• Performz/OS operating system upgrades and RSU maintenanceusing z/OSMF workflows.
• Architect, install, and configure highly complexz/OS environments and third-party software.
• Support software standardization initiatives and implementation of new mainframe features.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system programming and software installation issues.
• Supportstorage management, performance tuning, and capacity planningactivities.
• Use z/OS system commands, utilities, and automation tools for system administration and troubleshooting.
• Work with infrastructure and application teams to ensure stable and reliable mainframe operations.

Must-Have Skills
