Role Overview

To support our rapid growth, we seek an energetic, driven, forward-thinking, and experienced Senior Consultant to join Chartis in our High Reliability Care (HRC) practice, aligned with our Clinical Transformation line of business. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in regulatory compliance and quality, along with strong knowledge of accrediting agencies and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation.

The Senior Consultantis responsible forthe delivery of a variety of complex/medium complexity assignments in the areas ofAccreditation/Regulatory Compliance, Quality, Patient Safety and Clinical Documentation Improvement.As a member of theChartisteam, the Senior Consultant plays an integral role in contributing to the successful execution of client engagements and building the firm's reputation for quality service.

We are seeking candidates who can join us immediately – with interviews taking place across May and start dates in June 2025.

Responsibilities

Engagement Management

As applicable, coordinate, direct and oversee multi-faceted project work done by Chartis Consultants and/or subcontractors.

Coordinate fieldwork for engagements by developing project plans, task schedules, scheduling and preparing for on-site assessments, interviews and facilitated sessions, gathering documentation, preparing reports, presenting findings and recommendations, and liaising with client staff.

Perform engagement procedures designed to identify and define issues,reviewand analyze evidence, and document business processes. Prepare deliverables to support results of procedures.

Conduct interviews with client management to gain an understanding of client business conditions,risksand controls (including preparation of interview notes.)

Identify, develop, and document issues and recommendations using independent judgment concerning areas being reviewed.

Assist in coordinating and communicating the results of consulting projects via writtenreports and oral presentations to management.

Ensure all deliverables are reviewed with the engagement lead/advisory consultant.

Provide input to the project team during all phases of an engagement.

Participate in the drafting of reports/presentations and presenting drafts to the engagement lead/advisory consultant for review and approval.

Quality Management

Ensures the firm’s high expectations for quality in all assigned projects and deliverables.

Contributes to the development of project management, quality assurance and professional consulting approaches/methodologies.

Business/Professional Development

Contributes to proposal submissions and business development initiatives under the direction of the Leadership team.

Participates in professional organizations, professional certification programs and professional networking events related to Chartis’ practice areas.

Thought Leadership

Identify and make recommendations to improve consulting methodologies, tools, work processes and work products as applicable.

Contribute to marketing efforts with blog posts, webinars, whitepapersand case studies.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

BachelorsDegreerequired in Nursing, Informatics, Health Management/Sciences

CPHQ and/or CIC certificationpreferred

Knowledge of Accrediting Agency and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Conditions of Participation

5+ years of experience delivering healthcare consulting in aprofessional servicesfirm

5+ years of demonstrated experience working in a hospital/health system in Regulatory Compliance and Quality

Demonstrated professionalism and team-orientedapproach

Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and risk managementskills

Motivated, adaptable, and creative. Experience writing professional businessreports

Experience writing proposals for consulting/professionalservices

Experience conducting gap analyses

Experience developing and implementing corrective action plans

Ability to develop presentations and assume speaker responsibilities (small and large presentations, webinars, seminars, etc.)

Ability to identify client organizationalcapabilities

Ability to prioritize client patient safety/organizational vulnerabilities with understanding of core/systemicissues

Ability to review and integrate multiplereports

Ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines and manage multiplepriorities

Ability to lead a team, manage schedules and match team member skills to clientneeds

Strong group facilitation, verbal, and written communication skills

Ability to travel up to 80%

Candidates must be available to start in June 2025

Salary range: $120,000-160,000plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs. In addition, Chartis offers several benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, wellness stipend, and additional voluntary benefits.
