Job summary

CrossCountry Consulting is seeking an experienced Accounting Advisory professional for its Texas hybrid practice. You will partner with multinational public and pre-IPO companies to design and optimize financial reporting processes, restatements, and complex technical accounting matters.

You will collaborate with client and CrossCountry teams to identify compliant AI-driven enhancements that boost productivity, while maintaining data protection and IP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or CA certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, carve-outs, or IPOs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement financial reporting processes, including restatements and traditional filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K).
• Advise on complex accounting and financial reporting matters, including new and existing standards.
• Communicate project findings, updates, and recommendations to clients.
• Develop and implement AI-enabled solutions for clients in line with firm policies on data protection and IP.
• Stay informed on emerging AI tools and collaborate with leadership on compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and processes.
• Collaborate with CrossCountry and client teams on business issues and potential solutions.
• Collaborate with CrossCountry leadership on business development opportunities.

What You’ll Do

• Financial Reporting (including the design of reporting processes, restatement assistance, and traditional 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings).
• Operational Accounting (addressing the need for continuous improvement and optimization of finance and accounting functions).
• Advise on complex accounting and financial reporting matters, including implementation of new and existing accounting standards.
• Communicate effectively with the client to convey project findings, updates, and recommendations.
• Contribute to developing and implementing firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions for clients, in accordance with company policies on data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards.
• Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and collaborate with firm leadership to identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes.
• Collaborate with CrossCountry and client team members regarding business issues and potential solutions.

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of experience working with companies in one or more of the following areas: financial reporting, operational accounting, implementing new accounting policies, complex transactions.
• Prior experience in professional services (public accounting, advisory firm, or management consulting firm).
• Prior experience with operational accounting and/or accounting and reporting for one or more of the following business topics: business combinations, divestitures, carve-outs, or IPOs.
• Strong operational and technical accounting background, including experience researching complex technical accounting issues proactively.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards - U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and/or IFRS
• Comfort with AI: Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation.
• Continuous Learning Mindset: Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies including AI and automation in alignment with firm policies and client standards.
• Professionalism and discretion when interacting with executives and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA certification preferred.
• Experience supporting transactions as a result of (or in preparation for) one or more of the following areas: mergers and acquisitions, divestitures,spin-offs, carve-outs, IPO is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%. Travel varies based on client preferences.
