Analytics Senior Consultant

Responsibilities include:

1. Serving as the primary contact for clients to understand, define, and meet their needs.
2. Liaising with client stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize requests, and coordinate with offshore project teams for timely delivery.
3. Leading project teams of 3-6+ consultants in planning, execution, and performance evaluation.
4. Ensuring project goals are met through effective management and oversight.
5. Designing, building, and deploying analytics models to improve fraud risk strategies using Hadoop, Hive, PySpark, Python, Spark, and shell scripting.
6. Developing anomaly detection tools to identify suspicious transactions.
7. Creating monitoring and alert mechanisms for anomalies.
8. Building self-serve reporting tools for various business functions.
9. Applying machine learning and statistical methods on large datasets for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
10. Following coding best practices with Hadoop/Hive, Python, and PySpark.
11. Collaborating with offshore and onshore teams, communicating status, issues, and risks daily.
12. Proposing standards for data management, modeling, and data product delivery within the enterprise.
13. Analyzing data requirements, including volume, growth, quality, and workload considerations.
14. Providing thought leadership to align initiatives with client goals and drive value.

Candidate Profile:

• Required: Hadoop/Hive, Python, Spark, Tableau skills.
• 2+ years experience with Big Data platforms such as Cloudera, Hortonworks, or MapR.
• Python and machine learning modeling experience is a plus.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Experience handling large, complex data in Big Data environments.
• Experience designing and developing data products and transformations.
• Financial services and risk analytics domain experience is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, achievement record, and entrepreneurial approach.
• Excellent communication skills.
