Job summary

HRP Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Geologist or Senior Environmental Scientist to lead multi-disciplinary environmental projects from scoping to completion in Clifton Park, NY. You will guide technical strategy, manage investigations, supervise field programs, and mentor junior staff.

You will develop work plans, budgets, and schedules while serving as the primary client contact and contributing to business development. Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Earth Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of relevant environmental consulting or geological experience.
• Strong technical background in site investigation, remediation, hydrogeology, or environmental compliance.
• Proven project management experience, including budgeting and client communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead teams and mentor junior staff.
• Familiarity with state and federal environmental regulations.
• Willingness to travel for field assignments, with possible overnights of up to a week at a time.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Professional licensure (PG, LSRP, PE, or similar) is a plus.
• Geologist-in-Training (GIT) certification or ability to obtain within one year.
