What we are looking for:

Partner Forces is seeking a collaborative, strategic, and mission-driven Senior Consultant to support a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) client. This role is ideal for someone who understands cybersecurity and critical infrastructure but is passionate about applying that expertise in a consulting environment. Rather than serving as a hands-on technical operator, you'll advise clients, facilitate collaboration, solve complex challenges, and help drive strategic initiatives that strengthen the security and resilience of our nation's critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate is energized by fast-paced environments where priorities evolve quickly, enjoys bringing people together to solve difficult problems, and is excited to work alongside government leaders, technical experts, and private sector partners. You are intellectually curious, adaptable, low ego, and motivated by meaningful mission impact.

What you'll do:
  • Support strategic cybersecurity and critical infrastructure initiatives for DHS and CISA clients.
  • Advise government leaders on complex mission challenges and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and working groups with government, industry, and technical stakeholders.
  • Develop executive briefings, reports, strategic plans, white papers, and other client deliverables.
  • Translate complex cybersecurity concepts into clear, actionable information for technical and executive audiences.
  • Coordinate multiple client priorities while maintaining exceptional quality and responsiveness in a fast-moving environment.
  • Conduct research and analysis on emerging cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, and national security topics.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, teammates, and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, thought leadership, and internal corporate projects.
  • Mentor junior consultants through Partner Forces' apprenticeship model and foster a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain DHS Suitability.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, homeland security, or national security initiatives.
  • Experience supporting federal government clients, preferably within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), or related agencies.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles, cyber risk management, and the critical infrastructure landscape.
  • Experience managing or supporting strategic initiatives in a client-facing consulting or advisory environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings, building consensus, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Ability to think strategically while remaining adaptable to changing client priorities and emerging mission needs.
  • Willingness to work onsite in the Washington, DC metro area.
Next Steps:

If your application looks like a match, someone from our People Operations team will reach out to schedule a phone screening. During this conversation, we will determine if the current or future position aligns with your experience and skills. If things go well, from there you'll meet with members from the project team, including the hiring manager and teammates, and possibly be asked to submit a writing assessment to showcase your practical knowledge. If we find you are a match, you’ll get a call offering you the role. While we wish we could hire every great candidate who comes our way, the reality is that we can't. If you are not selected, we will be sure to connect with you and let you know so you can move on with your search. We will also keep your resume for future needs.
