Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a Construction Supervisor 2 to coordinate and oversee all aspects of the AOR construction process. The role requires defining scope, goals, and deliverables to support build strategy and critical event scheduling.

You will manage the Unit Outfitting Hall, ensure quality and safety, control overtime, and liaise with trades’ management to keep work within contract specs. Strong PM skills and PMI certification are required.

Qualifications

• 5 years Construction Supervisor 2 experience OR BS/Apprentice + 8 years combined construction/production mgmt with PMI or equivalent PM certification
• PMI or equivalent certification in project management required
• Experience coordinating large-scale construction projects and schedules desirable

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all aspects of the AOR construction process.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support build strategy and key event schedule.
• Manage Unit Outfitting Hall operations and ensure work aligns with contract specifications and safety standards.
• Identify risks, resolve design/material/scheduling issues, and communicate with stakeholders routinely
