Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent in New York, NY who will lead on developing and communicating the project work plan, monitor manpower, and coordinate between trades to keep projects on time and within budget.

This role requires extensive construction leadership, OSHA 30, travel to multiple job sites, and a strong focus on safety, quality, and client relations. The base salary range is $120k-$145k with benefits.

Qualifications

• Related education, in the form of college credit or degree, or professional certification may be acceptable as partial or fulfillment of experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation projects
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience shall be as Superintendent on large-scale, multi-contract building projects
• Ability to develop and communicate a project work plan, monitor manpower and performance against the work plan, and perform a details comparison of the design drawings against each other to ensure coordination between each of the various project trades
• Proficient level of knowledge relative to all aspects of construction supervision
• Full-cycle construction background resolving issues in the field
• Ability to travel to multiple job sites
• Demonstrated working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building required
• OSHA 30 or ability to be obtained within 30 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate the project work plan, monitor manpower and performance against the work plan, and be able to perform a detailed comparison of the design drawings against each other to ensure coordination between each of the various project trades
• Coordinate onsite work schedules with the client’s staff and manage multiple projects at a time
• Take action to ensure the safety, health and well-being of your team
• Provide direction to the team regarding quality, safety, and general day-to-day operations
