Job summary

TRS Staffing Solutions seeks a General Superintendent to oversee a large-scale construction project in the San Jose, CA area. The role leads a team of superintendents, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence on a daily on-site basis.

Responsibilities include coordinating trade contractors, managing the project budget, and developing work plans with contingency support. Relocation assistance is offered for the right candidate, with strong safety leadership and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• 10-15 years of experience on $30–$100M commercial/industrial projects in a lead superintendent role.
• OSHA 30-hour certification mandatory.
• STS-C Certification preferred.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed training desired.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade contractors and subs to meet project schedule.
• Manages project budget for general conditions and site services.
• Develops and communicates field work plans; manages changes.
• Ensures understanding of contract documents to anticipate issues.
• Oversees permits for construction activities.
• Acts as primary safety representative and enforces safety on site.
• Develops safety strategies and promotes safety culture.
• Maintains project schedules and daily reports with software tools.
• Leads contractor meetings and manages workforce planning.
• Maintains workflows with stakeholders and project partners.
• Supports preconstruction with scoping and buyout activities.
• Trains junior staff on processes and procedures.
• Ensures alignment with company standards and performance metrics.
