Nicholas & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee day-to-day project operations on high-profile regional projects.

You will lead field teams, coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, and owners to deliver projects on time and within budget while upholding safety standards. The role requires strong management, scheduling, and communication skills, with a track record in commercial construction.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction experience, including lead superintendent roles.
• OSHA-30 certification.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Proficient with scheduling software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work extended hours or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Open the construction site daily and secure it at the end of the day.
• Conduct daily site walks to monitor activities and support future planning.
• Lead and manage the on-site construction team.
• Establish goals, schedules, and completion timelines for the construction team.
• Develop and maintain schedule and look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate subcontractor sequencing and manpower with construction team.
• Manage deliveries and site logistics.
• Partner with the Project Manager to lead weekly construction progress meetings.
• Collaborate with contractors, engineers, architects, Project Managers, and owners.
• Ensure contractors execute and comply with their contracted scope of work.
• Identify work outside contractors’ scope and communicate issues promptly to the Project Manager, General Superintendent, and project owner.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with safety and health regulations.
• Lead weekly safety meetings and enforce company safety policies.
• Maintain accurate records, including daily field reports and RFIs.
• Coordinate building inspections with state and local authorities and manage end‑of‑project punch list to ensure completion of all items.
• Develop and maintain detailed three‑week look‑ahead schedules and proactively identify potential schedule impacts.
• Coordinate project turnover, owner training, commissioning, and closeout activities to ensure successful handoff to the owner.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to identify constructability issues, resolve field conflicts, and mitigate project risks.
