Job summary

Manhattan Construction is seeking a Superintendent 1 to lead field operations on assigned projects, ensuring safety, timely delivery, and profitability. You will demonstrate strong leadership, organization, and client-service skills while coordinating with the Project Manager and subcontractors.

Responsibilities include directing on-site labor, enforcing safety policies, managing schedules and costs, and maintaining QA/QC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering (or equivalent).
• 6 years of industry experience required.
• Leadership on at least two projects or equivalent leadership experience.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and on site.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force.
• Implement safety policies and Injury-Free Environment initiatives.
• Review trade contractor pay applications and material invoices with PM.
• Develop and maintain site logistics plans with PM.
• Manage quality program and coordinate site testing/inspections.
• Monitor costs, including labor and materials.
• Lead CPM schedule and look-ahead schedules.
• Attend and lead project meetings with PM and stakeholders.
• Prepare daily reports and report quantities.
• Assist Preconstruction/Estimating phase as needed.
