Job summary

Cityscape Recruitment USA is partnering with a respected construction firm to recruit a Superintendent for the Washington, DC market. You will lead field operations from mobilization through completion, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality on complex commercial and government projects.

You will manage subcontractors, coordinate site activities, read drawings, and enforce standards. The role demands 5+ years in field leadership, strong organizational and communication skills, and a track record

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or similar field leadership role.
• Strong commercial construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing subcontractors and complex projects.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Federal government, laboratory, or technical project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations and oversee subcontractors, vendors, and trades.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure timely completion of work.
• Perform quality control inspections and enforce safety standards.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, inspections, and project documentation.
• Identify and resolve field issues while communicating with project teams.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and maintain accurate site reporting.
