Job summary

SLSCO LP seeks an experienced Construction Project Scheduler to develop, maintain, and monitor detailed schedules for complex construction projects in the New York area. You will partner with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to ensure milestones, deadlines, and resources are accurately planned and tracked.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, project management, architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction scheduling experience.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of CPM scheduling principles and project lifecycles.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive project schedules using scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
• Develop schedule narratives, work breakdown structures, activity coding, calendars, logic ties, resource assumptions, and project-specific schedule controls.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and stakeholders to establish realistic construction sequencing, durations, milestones, and resource requirements.
• Monitor project progress and compare actual performance against planned schedules.
• Analyze critical path activities and identify schedule impacts, risks, and potential delays.
• Prepare and present schedule updates, forecasts, and reports to project teams, clients, and senior management.
• Review critical and near-critical paths, float, schedule trends, missed milestones, and logic changes.
• Evaluate change orders and assess schedule impacts associated with scope modifications.
• Conduct schedule delay analyses and support claims documentation when required.
• Participate in project planning meetings, progress reviews, and coordination sessions.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, project specifications, and company scheduling standards.
• Support preconstruction and estimating team with setting up initial project schedules during the pursuit process.
• Track project milestones, deliverables, procurement activities, and long-lead items.
• Support earned value management and project controls functions as needed.
• Develop mitigation and recovery plans to address schedule variances.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and historical schedule records.
