Job summary

OCMI, Inc. is seeking a Senior Scheduler to support a major data center project in Ashburn, VA. The role involves hands-on scheduling and project controls on-site, employing CPM methodologies to manage complex, fast-paced programs.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction scheduling, experience with Primavera P6, and strong communication skills. Hybrid work is available; occasional travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years construction scheduling experience.
• Prior data center scheduling experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel for mandatory site visits
• Solid understanding of CPM and Critical Path Method principles
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and contracts

Responsibilities

• Create, review, and analyze CPM schedules using Primavera P6.
• Develop CPM baselines and updates independently or with teams.
• Develop plans communicating client goals and project constraints.
• Ensure contractual compliance and realistic scheduling.
• Explain schedules in meetings or presentations.
• Perform Time Impact Analysis and fragnet development.
• Support business development as needed.

We’re excited to welcome a Senior Scheduler to support a major data center project in Ashburn, VA, one of the nation’s most active and important data center markets. This role will work closely with the project team on site in Ashburn, providing hands-on scheduling and project controls support for a complex, fast‑paced program.

Responsibilities:

• Independently create, review, and/or analyze CPM schedules in an efficient and comprehensive manner.
• Effectively utilize available techniques and software to provide the greatest value to the client and OCMI. This also includes creating CPM Schedules, Baselines, and Updates, at all levels of project development, independently or as part of an external or internal team.
• Develop comprehensive plans that communicate the client’s project and strategic goals.
• Meets all contractual compliance requirements.
• Represent a realistic and feasible planning approach.
• Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project’s goals (verbal, written, graphically).
• Understand principles of cost estimating and productivity in establishing schedule parameters (duration, cost and resource loading, etc.).
• Investigate and incorporate project constraints in planning effort.
• Capable of explaining the schedule and positions in a formal meeting, presentation, or negotiation.
• Perform Time Impact Analysis and develop fragnets.
• Perform other scheduler related duties as assigned and assist Business Development functions as necessary.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years construction scheduling experience utilizing Primavera Scheduling Software (P6, latest Version)
• Prior data center experience highly desired.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel for mandatory project site visits.
• Solid understanding of schedule delay principles and techniques.
• Understand the Critical Path Method of scheduling theoretically and as it applies to the project.
• Understand the contractual clauses as it applies to planning and scheduling.
• Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications, contracts/general conditions) at all levels of design.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Engineering, or Architecture preferred; or any degree with construction/design-related experience.

Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000
