M.C. Dean in Virginia is seeking a Construction Safety Lead to oversee site safety and risk management across multiple projects.

You will develop and implement site-specific safety plans, lead safety training programs, and coordinate with project teams and contractors to mitigate risks. The role requires extensive experience in safety management, strong knowledge of 1910/1926 standards, and the ability to mentor safety staff.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of safety management experience with training program development
• 5+ years of Bachelor’s degree in safety management discipline (electrical experience preferred)
• 3+ years with Master’s degree in SH/EM-385 experience and training
• Safety Management Systems knowledge: ANSI-Z10, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000
• Willingness to pursue ASP, CSP, CHST certifications

Responsabilités

• Oversee Construction Project Safety and Health (S&H) and Risk Management
• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans
• Create and deliver safety training plans and curricula
• Conduct new hire orientation (OSHA 10/30, CPR/FA)
• Interpret electrical safety standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, NESC) and manage NFPA 70E training
• Monitor training program effectiveness and update materials
• Mentor safety professionals and coordinate with teams and contractors
• Stay current on regulatory and technical safety matters
• Advise on risk and hazard mitigation plans and deliver technical reports
