Job summary

Barriere Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking a Safety Manager to lead environmental, safety, and health programs across Louisiana project sites. You will plan, implement, and oversee safety policies, conduct audits, ensure compliance, and train teams while coordinating incident investigations.

The role requires at least 3 years in safety, a High School diploma (Bachelor’s preferred), and strong communication and leadership skills to support a culture of care.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance and implement corrective actions.
• Provide guidance on health and safety and ensure project sites meet guidelines and regulations.
• Plan, implement, manage, and maintain EH&S programs on-site or at project locations.
• Develop Emergency Action Plans and serve as primary contact for incidents and investigations.
• Create annual and long-term safety department plans.
• Conduct field safety audits and site visits to evaluate conditions.
• Respond to on-call incidents and deliver training on health and safety matters.
• Serve as safety representative for industrial clients.
