Job summary
Unified Business Technologies, Inc. seeks experienced Quality Assurance Engineering Technicians to perform on-site construction quality assurance and safety oversight in support of NAVFAC Northwest.
The QAET will serve as a primary field representative responsible for observing construction, documenting contractor performance, evaluating workmanship, monitoring safety compliance, and assisting Government construction management personnel.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in construction inspection or trades
- Experience supporting NAVFAC or USACE Capital Improvements projects
- Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications
- Knowledge of EM 385-1-1, OSHA and federal construction safety standards
- Proficiency with Primavera, CostWorks, eCMS or similar CM tools
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site construction inspections daily
- Verify compliance with plans, specs and contract requirements
- Monitor QA/QC and safety programs for contractors
- Review RFIs, submittals, and technical documentation
- Attend Quality Control meetings and support constructability reviews
- Maintain construction records and daily inspection reports
- Witness system testing and acceptance activities
- Coordinate with government representatives, designers, engineers, contractors and managers
