Job summary

Five Below on the West Coast is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead store development from initial site assessment through turnover to operations. You will fully negotiate work letters with landlords, track budgets, schedules, and quality across multiple projects.

You must travel 60%+ to job sites, read construction drawings, and guide cross‑functional teams to maintain brand standards and timely openings.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or equivalent work history.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant, hands-on experience with retail tenant construction.
• Must be able to read, comprehend, red line, and troubleshoot construction drawings.
• Must be able to travel to job sites 60%+ of the time.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete construction process for assigned projects from site assessment to turnover.
• Negotiate work letters with landlords to minimize Five Below exposure and ensure standards.
• Provide updates to internal/external partners for stores, remodels, expansions, and relocations.
• Track progress, conduct site visits, and report via weekly updates and calls.
• Ensure punch list items are completed per lease timelines and budgets.
