Job summary

Matrix Project Services in Houston, TX is seeking a seasoned Project Manager VII to oversee field projects, manage risk, and drive multi-disciplinary teams. The role includes developing new business opportunities with clients or regions, and travel to project sites as needed.

The position requires a strong background in project management, financial stewardship, and proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget. Per diem applies for eligible travel as per company policy.

Qualifications

• 12+ years job-related experience, with 8+ years supervisory experience.
• 4 year degree in Mechanical, Civil or Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management; or combination of equivalent education and 14 years job-related experience if no degree.
• PMI Project Management Certification preferred.
• Extensive understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes and standards and their impact on project activities.

Responsibilities

• Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its Core Values.
• Represents the Company at bid meetings and project meetings as applicable to projects.
• Establishes project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy.
• Plans, organizes and staffs key field positions through department heads or subordinate managers.
• Monitors on-site field supervision to ensure project is built to design, budget and schedule.
• Provides technical assistance and recommends construction methods and equipment as required.
