Job summary

New River Electrical Corporation in the Richmond, VA area seeks a qualified construction Project Manager III to lead intermediate to complex project scopes and take ownership of project delivery, including financials, scheduling, procurement, and safety plans. This role reports to Regional leadership and drives performance across multiple sites.

You will cultivate client relationships, review RFP opportunities, develop bids, manage budgets and cash flow, and supervise field operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, project management or related field.
• Minimum five (5) years construction project management experience with two (2) years as PM II or similar role; leading, developing teams.
• Alternative: eight (8) years field experience with supervision and construction management experience.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing customers.
• Lead bidding strategy, pricing decisions and budgets for proposals.
• Prepare take-offs, solicit pricing, and complete bids in response to RFPs.
• Select and train superintendents and foremen; ensure safety and reporting compliance.
• Develop project initiation plans including manpower, cash flow, materials and equipment requirements.
• Manage P&L, project costs, and risks; ensure projects stay within budget.
• Develop cash flows, manage billing and change orders.
• Communicate project information to stakeholders and complete monthly WIP.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents and industry best practices.
