Job summary

Merck General Contracting, LTD is seeking a Project Manager to supervise Lead Superintendents on multifamily and residential housing projects in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment. The role emphasizes on-time delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality outcomes while maintaining strong customer service and safety standards.

Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and directing all project activities, managing vendors, and coordinating permits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate’s degree required.
• 10+ years’ experience as a Project Manager.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• OSHA-30 Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, conduct, coordinate, and manage the project end-to-end.
• Oversee horizontal and vertical construction for assigned projects.
• Solicit, coordinate, supervise, and manage rapport with outside vendors and contractors.
• Research best tools and materials based on value and quality for current and future projects.
• Issue bid plans/specifications to potential bidders to contract materials and work.
• Work with construction bookkeeper to manage reporting and financial dashboards.
• Coordinate all permits with the city and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Manage change orders to complete projects within scope and budget.
• Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolve issues.
• Ensure safety and quality procedures are followed and reporting is accurate.
