Job summary

Graycor Construction Company is seeking a Project Manager II to drive project results from preconstruction through final closeout, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability on industrial and distribution-center projects.

You will lead on-site teams, manage subcontractors, oversee budgets and schedules, mentor staff, and represent Graycor with owners, architects, and engineers while pursuing lean and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of relevant construction operations experience.
• Bachelor degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Experience managing distribution center and/or light industrial manufacturing construction projects.
• Strong leadership and communication to motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety compliance and quality programs on site.
• Actively participate in bidding and pre-construction services.
• Represent Graycor as the client’s primary contact with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Manage performance of project staff including Project Engineer/Assistant PM, Field Superintendents, and admin staff.
• Maintain budget and schedule to ensure profitability.
• Execute subcontracts, purchase orders, and change requests; negotiate changes with the client.
• Mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.
• Lead initiatives in Safety, Quality, Lean Construction, and Zero Punch Lists.
