Job summary

The Personnel Consulting Group is seeking a Project Manager for a midsized contractor client in the Baton Rouge market. You will lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout, driving execution, managing budgets and schedules, and building relationships with owners, subcontractors, and internal teams.

With 5+ years of PM experience, you will oversee cost tracking, RFI management, and plan-set reviews while coordinating with owners, architects, and field staff

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience (GC, CM, or owner's rep).
• Proven track record delivering projects on-time and within budget.
• Expertise reading plan sets, managing submittals/RFIs, and tracking project costs.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle delivery for 3-5 concurrent commercial construction projects, ensuring completion on schedule and within budget.
• Oversee preconstruction processes, including scope development, bid packages, subcontracts, and budget setup.
• Direct project financials, job-cost tracking, monthly owner billings, and change order management.
• Lead weekly owner, architect, and subcontractor alignment meetings to resolve potential risks proactively.
• Supervise site superintendents and project staff while maintaining critical-path procurement schedules.
• Drive project closeouts, warranty administration, and punch-list completion for seamless owner handoffs.
