Job summary

Benchmark is seeking a results-driven Project Manager for our Plymouth Meeting, PA location. You will lead projects from bid prep to ribbon cutting, coordinate field activities with office teams, manage budgets, and ensure safety and quality across the lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering, 5+ years of PM experience, and a proven ability to drive profitability while maintaining strong client relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep knowledge of construction principles, engineering practices, management strategies, and applicable laws.
• Strong planning and decision-making skills to navigate challenges and keep projects on track.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to lead across teams.
• Commitment to safety standards and compliance on worksites.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Project Management: ensure projects are completed on time, quality is upheld, and profitability goals are met.
• Client Relationship Management: act as a brand ambassador and exceed client expectations.
• Coordination: align field activities with office duties for efficient execution.
• Project Lifecycle Leadership: lead projects from kickoff to ribbon cutting.
• Collaboration: work with the project superintendent to align design, budget, and schedule.
• Financial Management: ensure timely payment applications and follow-up on payments.
• Document Control: manage shop drawings, addendums, and RFIs with timely updates.
• Business Development: participate in growth activities as needed.
• Safety Compliance: monitor OSHA compliance and enforce safe practices.
• Onsite Supervision: plan and supervise scheduling, engineering, materials, and admin staff.
• Quality Assurance: oversee quality processes and project handovers.
• Documentation: manage as-built drawings and O&M documentation for stakeholders.
• Proactive Financial Planning: prepare documents for monthly projections per SOP.
