Oneida General Mechanical Corporation (GMC) is seeking a highly motivated, full-time Senior Construction Project Manager in Central Florida. This role involves remote work with travel throughout central Florida.

Responsible for the safe completion of projects within budget, on schedule, and to quality standards, ensuring customer satisfaction. The Project Manager leads all aspects of the project including schedule, budget, risk mitigation, safety, and quality control, initiating actions to mitigate risks and ensure successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and direct project activities to meet goals within time and funding constraints.
• Create and review project proposals, plans, and resource allocations.
• Ensure safety and quality are integrated into project planning and execution.
• Establish work plans and staffing, understanding project scope and risks.
• Recruit or assign project personnel.
• Coordinate with project staff to set goals, duties, and responsibilities.
• Manage project personnel to keep progress on schedule and within budget.
• Prepare and modify status reports and schedules; analyze project costs and schedules.
• Manage contractual agreements, change orders, and project reports.
• Resolve issues and disputes professionally and timely.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and manage supervisory responsibilities per policies and laws.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least ten years of successful project management experience in construction.
• Strong computer skills including project management software and systems.
• Ability to learn new technologies like AI and automation.
• Understanding of building designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience with Primavera scheduling software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Managing construction projects valued between $10-$50 million.
• Experience with fixed-price projects and DoD clients, especially U.S. Navy and Air Force.

Travel

Willingness to work on-site and travel as needed with management approval.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
