Job Description
Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking a Senior Project Manager with experience in design and construction management of public sector projects in Spokane. Experience with state, county, and local municipality projects, including Higher Education or K-12 school districts, is a plus. The candidate should be a self-starter, able to take initiative, and drive activities with limited oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Interfacing with clients and consultants at all project stages.
  • Financial management—ensuring prompt invoicing and monitoring project financials.
  • Project planning, including detailed project plans.
  • Monitoring performance and managing change control processes.
  • Managing project information flow through meetings and communications.
  • Preparing project budget reports and progress updates.
  • Ensuring quality standards and compliance.
  • Constructing proposals for new work or variations.
  • Improving project management procedures and templates.
  • Addressing quality, safety, health, and environmental issues.
  • Establishing effective governance, processes, and systems.

Qualifications

  • Strategic advising during project conception, with approach recommendations.
  • Excellent time management to ensure quality, efficiency, and timeliness.
  • Strong relationship-building with clients and team members.
  • Experience as an effective team member on projects.
  • Business development skills, including cross-selling.
  • Effective sharing and retention of key information and data.

Education / Experience

  • 8+ years of design and construction management experience.
  • BS degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture (AA acceptable with sufficient experience).
  • Experience with Alternative Delivery methods (PDB preferred).
  • Proven leadership in design and construction phases.
  • Proficiency in PMiS software, MS Office, Adobe, Bluebeam.
  • Membership in professional organizations (CCM, PMP, PE) preferred.
  • Experience managing stakeholders and work stream managers.

Additional Information
