Senior Construction Project Manager (Anticipated Opening)

Turner & Townsend Heery seeks a Senior Project Manager with experience in design and construction management of public sector projects in Spokane. Experience with state, county, and local municipality projects, including those for Higher Education or K-12 school districts, is a plus. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, capable of taking initiative and driving activities with limited oversight.

Responsibilities:

  • Interfacing with clients and consultants at all project stages.
  • Financial management—ensuring prompt invoicing and monitoring project financials using financial systems.
  • Developing detailed project plans.
  • Monitoring performance and applying management techniques.
  • Managing change control processes.
  • Facilitating the flow of project information through meetings and communications.
  • Preparing project budget and progress reports.
  • Ensuring quality standards compliance.
  • Constructing proposals for new work or project variations.
  • Improving project management procedures, templates, and products.
  • Addressing quality, safety, health, and environmental issues with the appropriate line managers.
  • Establishing effective project governance, processes, and systems.
  • Providing strategic advice during project conception to achieve client objectives.
  • Managing time effectively to ensure project quality, efficiency, and timeliness.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and team members.
  • Delivering as an effective team member.
  • Identifying business development opportunities, including cross-selling.
  • Sharing and retaining key information and data appropriately.

Education / Experience:

  • 8+ years of design and construction management experience.
  • BSc in construction management, engineering, or architecture (AA with sufficient experience acceptable).
  • Experience with Alternative Delivery (PDB preferred).
  • Proven leadership in design and construction phases.
  • Proficiency with various PMIS software, MS Office, Adobe, Bluebeam.
  • Membership in professional organizations (CCM, PMP, PE) preferred.
  • Experience managing stakeholders and work stream managers.

Salary Range: $110k–$140k per year, based on experience and qualifications. This range reflects base salary only and may vary.
