Foundry in South Florida is seeking a Senior Project Manager to own the delivery of ground-up commercial construction projects across Palm Beach County. You will work with field leadership to ensure budgets, schedules, and stakeholder expectations are met, driving successful closeout and handover.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of commercial GC experience, strong procurement and financial acumen, and a track record of managing complex client-architect-subcontractor relationships.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with a General Contractor.
• Experience independently managing projects from buyout through closeout.
• Strong subcontractor procurement and management experience.
• Solid understanding of project financials, forecasting, contracts and change management.
• Experience managing clients, architects and project stakeholders.
• Stable career history with established commercial contractors.
• South Florida construction experience is advantageous.

Job description

An established South Florida Commercial General Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to its growing Palm Beach County team.

This position is specifically aimed at an experienced commercial GC Project Manager who has independently led ground-up construction projects and is comfortable taking ownership from preconstruction and buyout through construction, closeout and final handover.

The company has a strong pipeline across South Florida and is looking for someone who can become a key member of the project management team as the business continues to grow.

The Role

As Senior Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of commercial construction projects, working closely with Superintendents and project teams in the field.

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading ground-up commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Managing project budgets, cost forecasting and overall financial performance
• Leading subcontractor procurement, buyout and contract negotiations
• Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders and procurement
• Developing and maintaining project schedules alongside field leadership
• Managing owner, architect and subcontractor relationships
• Leading project and OAC meetings
• Identifying commercial and operational risks and driving solutions
• Managing and mentoring Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers
• Taking ownership of project profitability and successful delivery

What We’re Looking For

We are specifically interested in candidates who have developed their careers with commercial General Contractors and have experience independently managing substantial construction projects.

The ideal background will include:

• 7+ years of commercial construction experience
• Current or previous experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with a General Contractor
• Experience independently managing projects from buyout through closeout
• Strong subcontractor procurement and management experience
• Strong understanding of project financials, forecasting, contracts and change management
• Experience managing clients, architects and project stakeholders
• Stable career history with established commercial contractors
• South Florida construction experience is advantageous

Experience delivering healthcare, medical, institutional, education or other technically complex commercial projects would be particularly attractive.

Base Salary: $120,000 – $170,000, depending on experience and project background, plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
