Qualifications

  • Six (6) years of Construction Management or Program Management experience, including at least four (4) years leading complex healthcare construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing regulatory compliance with AHCA, TJC and other authorities having jurisdiction.

This role is accountable for project scope, budget, schedule, financial performance, and stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle while serving as a mentor and resource to Project Managers and Coordinators. The Senior Construction Project Manager acts as a key liaison among hospital leadership, end users, consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate collaboration, resolve complex issues, and drive project success. Additionally, this position supports operational excellence through leadership of continuous improvement initiatives, development of departmental processes and standard operating procedures, and the application of industry best practices to deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered environments.**Credential and Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Business Management, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.* Six (6) years of Construction Management or Program Management experience, including at least four (4) years leading complex healthcare construction, renovation, or infrastructure projects with cross-functional teams.* Valid Florida Driver’s License required.* Demonstrated experience managing regulatory compliance and coordinating with authorities and accrediting agencies, including Fire Marshal, Code Enforcement, AHCA, CMMS, The Joint Commission (TJC), and other Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).* Any combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.**Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required*** Advanced knowledge of design and construction project management principles, practices, and procedures.* Demonstrated proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with the ability to effectively plan, execute, monitor, and deliver complex projects.* Experience using project management and construction management software; proficiency with Microsoft Project and E-Builder is preferred.* Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead multiple concurrent projects and multidisciplinary teams.* Experience managing multiple simultaneous capital construction projects with individual project values over $5 million.* Proven ability to lead and coordinate teams of four or more project professionals and technical resources, including Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Architects, Field Engineers, Superintendents, consultants, and contractors.**Preferred Experience*** Experience managing large-scale healthcare capital construction programs, including projects involving occupied patient care environments.**Responsibilities:****Project Leadership & Delivery*** Lead all phases of complex capital construction and renovation projects from project initiation through occupancy and operations.* Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable healthcare and construction standards.**Scope, Budget & Financial Management*** Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets, schedules, cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and project controls.* Evaluate project scope requirements and manage change orders to minimize financial and operational impacts.* Monitor project expenditures, commitments, and financial performance to ensure effective stewardship of capital resources.* Review and negotiate contractor proposals, vendor quotations, and consultant agreements to support project objectives.* Prepare and present budget updates, financial analyses, and project forecasts to leadership and key stakeholders.**Stakeholder & Operational Coordination*** Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, hospital leadership, clinical departments, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.* Facilitate stakeholder meetings and planning sessions to ensure project requirements, expectations, and operational needs are clearly defined and communicated.* Coordinate construction activities with affected departments to minimize disruptions to patient care and business operations.* Manage relationships with external consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle.* Provide timely communication regarding project status, risks, milestones, operational impacts, and mitigation strategies.**Team Leadership & Resource Management*** Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and other project team members.* Lead cross-functional project teams and establish clear accountability for project deliverables and performance outcomes.* Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure appropriate staffing and support for project activities.* Facilitate project meetings, assign responsibilities, track action items, and monitor completion of commitments.* Resolve project issues, conflicts, resource constraints, and operational barriers to maintain project momentum and achieve objectives.**Project Administration & Regulatory Compliance*** Administer project contracts, purchase orders, amendments, and change orders in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.* Oversee procurement activities, including consultant selection, contractor bidding, contract awards, and vendor management.* Manage permitting, inspections, and regulatory approvals required by AHCA, Fire Marshal, local code authorities, TJC, and other AHJs.* Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, Life Safety Code requirements, building codes, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.* Maintain complete and accurate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, meeting records, and closeout materials.**Process Improvement & Organizational Development*** Develop and
