Job summary

You will coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors; supervise subcontractors, track budgets and schedules, review changes, and prepare project completion reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering.
• Eight years’ experience with LA DOTD construction project operations.
• Three years of leadership experience in construction.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record.
• Experience directing contractors and crews (mechanical, electrical, civil, structural).
• Ability to read engineering drawings/maps.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project plans and specifications.
• Identify and qualify sub-contractors for various trades.
• Develop initial project cost estimates and manage budgets.
• Monitor schedule performance and quality of workmanship.
• Coordinate with client, contractor, architect and engineers on VE options.
• Review and approve contractor payment requests and change proposals.
• Attend meetings and represent the client’s interests.
• Prepare construction completion reports and project close-out.
