Job summary

NAI Burns Scalo is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead construction projects from inception through closeout in the Pittsburgh area. You will coordinate teams, manage budgets, schedule work, and ensure safety and quality standards.

You will bid and select subcontractors, prepare bid books, monitor costs, and report progress to owners. The role requires heavy interior/exterior renovations, travel up to 75%, and leadership of junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or business is required or demonstrated related experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in commercial construction and/or general contracting.
• Experience in a project management role is preferred.
• Experience with heavy interior and exterior renovations and new base building construction preferred.
• Experience managing projects over two (2) million dollars preferred.
• Minimum of 3-4 years as an Assistant Project Manager preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to BSRE quality and safety standards.
• Bid, qualify, and award subcontractors; prepare Bid Book for tenants/ownership; value engineer costs.
• Interface with clients and foster relationships with tenants.
• Create and manage project budgets; develop pre-construction RFP packages.
• Conduct subcontractor and owner meetings; record minutes; set milestones; provide owner reports weekly.
• Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, CO logs, pay apps) and negotiate changes.
• Oversee scheduling, quality control, logistics, and closeout processes.
• Train and lead junior staff; serve as a resource to brokers, accountants, field technicians, and other PMs.
