Senior Construction Project Management Specialist

Job Description

The Senior Construction Project Management Specialist will plan, develop, and execute construction projects for Nespresso USA Retail Stores, including builds, refurbishments, relocations, and temporary spaces. The role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and within scope, from design through warranty management.

This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days/week onsite at Nespresso USA’s HQ in New York City and the rest remote.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all construction projects and builds (new stores, upgrades, repairs).
  • Evaluate landlord criteria and lease-related construction aspects, communicating with partners.
  • Use project management tools for timelines, objectives, and responsibilities.
  • Prepare construction estimates based on design drawings.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine requirements and ensure design and local compliance.
  • Oversee preconstruction activities, permits, utilities, vendor communication, and procurement.
  • Lead bid negotiations, proposal reviews, and resource planning.
  • Track project costs, update financial platforms, and manage invoices.
  • Supervise construction phases, quality, punch lists, and closeout.
  • Coordinate turnover activities to retail operations.
  • Ensure milestones and project scope are met, addressing issues proactively.
  • Engage with HQ to maintain design integrity and drive efficiency.
  • Manage vendor performance and source new vendors as needed.
Data System Management
  • Maintain construction documentation and legal compliance files.
  • Update project tracking systems with progress, costs, and insights.
  • Prepare reports on progress, costs, and schedules.
Process Improvement
  • Transition retail database to cloud solutions.
  • Create process flow maps for onboarding and contingency planning.
  • Identify and develop workflow efficiencies.
  • Coordinate HQ translations for design compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Planning, or related; Master’s preferred.
  • At least 3 years managing luxury retail construction projects.
  • Experience with CMMS systems.
  • Strong project management, communication, organizational, and stakeholder skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD skills a plus.
  • Willing to travel up to 50%.

The pay range is approximately $120,000 to $130,000, with benefits including 401k, healthcare, and performance incentives. Final compensation depends on experience and location.
