Job summary

gpac is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Commercial Construction in the Beloit/Rockford area. You’ll own complex projects from preconstruction through closeout and lead both office and field teams to deliver on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes mentoring, strong client relationships, and decisive problem-solving. You’ll coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, superintendents and subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and successful turnover.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects.
• A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong command of contracts, drawings, specifications, construction costs, and schedules.
• The judgment to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions.
• Clear communication and the ability to earn trust with clients and field teams.
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Project planning, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor buyout, and execution.
• Financial performance, including cost reporting, forecasting, and change management.
• Coordination with owners, architects, engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors.
• Project meetings, site reviews, and timely resolution of construction issues.
• Mentoring Project Managers and supporting accountability across project teams.
• Quality, safety, and successful project turnover.
